I have a newfound interest and respect for promoting a healthy living lifestyle. You The Owners Manual by Michael F. Roizen, MD and Mehmet C. Oz, MD is a great practical read about how we as humans work and how we can promote a more healthy living lifestyle by monitoring our bodies and altering what we do to it. The read is surprisingly easy to understand and is very light. Very refreshing given the subject matter.
This healthy living book is comprised of twelve chapters as follows:
Something I particularly enjoyed about this healthy living book is the Live Younger Action Plans at the end of each chapter. Roizen and Oz take the concepts discussed in each chapter and articulate tangible actions that the reader can take away and implement if he or she so chooses. Really limits your excuses to getting on to a more healthy living lifestyle <g>.
Something else I appreciated about the book is the healthy living recipes contained at the end of the book. While it's not a full-fledged healthy living cookbook (which it's not intended to be in the first place) it is a great thought-starter to help you think about eating more healthy and get on the road to a better healthy living lifestyle.
